Tottenham Hotspur to assign agents to help sell Tanguy Ndombele this summer
According to Football Insider (h/t Daily Star), Tottenham Hotspur have set agents to help sell under fire midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in the upcoming transfer window.
The 23-year-old, who is the club’s record signing, has failed to make a lasting impression since making the move last summer. A loss of form and persistent injury concerns have seen him play 1383 minutes this season.
His problems have found little sympathy from Jose Mourinho, who has been publicly vocal in his displeasure. It reached a breaking point at Turf Moor as he was warned by the Spurs boss he was fighting for his future at the club after he was hauled off at the half time.
According to the report, Tottenham chiefs are set to assign agents to help seal Ndombele’s exit from the club. Spurs are willing to listen to offers but are unlikely to recoup the fee they paid last year.
If the right price comes in they will not stop the player from making the move.
The addition of the player last summer was seen as a coup. It was expected that he would take us to the next level as we sought to build upon our Champions League final appearance. But it has not been the case, with both the club and the player struggling to make an impact.
If Mourinho is convinced that the player cannot do any better, then it is best that we part ways rather than try to force the issue.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic. In case we do sell Ndombele, the addition of the Croatian maestro will help us fill the Frenchman’s void.
Ndombele is a talented player who consistently showcased his skill in Ligue 1. It will be a shame if he is to leave North London with his talent unfulfilled.
