“You can never stop learning”: Tottenham starlet opens up on life during lockdown

Ryan Sessegnon is keeping himself occupied during the lockdown

Summer signing Ryan Sessegnon has revealed what he has been up to during the lockdown.

With football currently suspended, Tottenham stars have been forced to spend time in self-isolation. With unexpected time on their hands, players have found different ways to keep themselves occupied.

Sessegnon is no different. The youngster took to the club’s official site to reveal just what he has been up to during the past two months.

“At the start, obviously it was a bit tough with everyone being at home, you try to do what you can”

First and foremost, as an athlete, it is not surprising to see the youngster focus on keeping his fitness levels up. He has been following the home-training schedule set by the coaching staff and is sticking to his daily exercise regimen.

Sessegnon is also an avid gamer who has some talent in the area. He recently represented the club in a series of e-sports FIFA tournaments over the last few weeks. Our number 19 also showcased his curious side by rediscovering a number of activities he usually wouldn’t even think about doing in normal circumstances.

He has also taken to solving puzzles with his girlfriend while also trying to pass time reading business books. He commented on how he is learning to save money from the latter, which begs us to ask if it was Daniel Levy who lent him the books.

“Time goes by quite quickly when you’re reading and you learn new things. You can never stop learning.”

The youngster understands the need to keep mentally fit. He believes it is a good thing that his teammates are not alone and are around family.

Having joined from Fulham last summer, Sessegnon’s debut season in North London was hampered by injuries. Sessegnon has made 19 appearances for Spurs and has scored one goal and one assist.
