Tottenham have no intentions of selling Tanguy Ndombele
According to a report from the Independent, Tottenham Hotspur have no intentions of selling star midfielder Tanguy Ndombele amid speculations surrounding his future.
Ndombele arrived at Tottenham last summer in a club-record deal worth £55m. However, the Frenchman hasn’t been able to make the desired impact in his debut campaign so far, despite starting strongly. Till date, Ndombele has featured 27 times for Tottenham, scoring two goals and assisting four more.
Rumours of an exit started gathering pace after Jose Mourinho criticised the player’s performance in the Premier League game against Burnley.
La Liga champions Barcelona were reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old. More recently, Premier League leaders Liverpool have also expressed an interest in signing the French international.
Despite mounting interest, Tottenham have absolutely no intention of selling Ndombele in the summer transfer window, as per the report.
Mourinho, despite having been critical of the midfielder, isn’t ready to quit on him as of yet. The outdoor training session during lockdown, despite being ill-advised ,was him showing a sign of faith towards his ward.

The decision not to sell Ndombele is the right one by Tottenham. The 23-year-old showed his capabilities during his time at Lyon, and many players take time to get used to the rigours of the Premier League.
The Frenchman has shown the quality he possesses in glimpses this season and exercising a little patience with him would be the right away to go about things at the moment.
