Twitter reacts to Harry Kane sponsoring Leyton orient shirts to help three good causes
According to the BBC, England skipper Harry Kane has joined forces with Leyton Orient. He will sponsor their shirts for next season, while donating the space to three good causes.
The O’s home strip will carry a message of gratitude to frontline workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, mental health charity, Mind, and Haven House Children’s Hospice will also have their logos on Orient’s two other jerseys.
Orient have also confirmed that 10% of the proceeds from each replica shirt sold will go to the particular cause featured on the front.
The club holds a special place in Kane’s heart. It was here that he made his professional bow in 2011. On loan from Tottenham, he was only 17 when he joined the O’s on loan. He went on to score five times in 18 appearances before returning to White Hart Lane.
Very proud to announce that I'm supporting the club that gave me my first pro start and three amazing causes by sponsoring @leytonorientfc's shirts for the 2020/21 season. pic.twitter.com/hTh1M7xNf3

Born and brought up near to the Matchroom Stadium, Kane expressed his thanks for being able to give back to the club where it all began.
“I was born and brought up only at a couple of miles from Orient’s stadium and I’m really happy to have the opportunity to give back to the club that gave me my first professional start.”
Orient chief executive Danny Macklin also thanked Kane for the initiative, calling him a true role model of the modern game.
“Thank you, Harry, for your amazing support and generosity – you are a true role model for the modern game.”
The striker’s gesture was met with overwhelming positivity by Spurs fans who took to Twitter to express the same. We take a look at a few of them below.

Well done and fair play Harry. Even if you do play for Spurs and used to play for Millwall and Orient. Hope to see more people in your position do this. Class act.
