Harry Kane lights up eight-year-old Oscar Jealous’ day
According to the Birmingham Mail, Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane has brightened the day of 8-year-old Oscar Jealous who is a big fan of the striker.
The youngster is unfortunately diagnosed with Batten Disease, an illness that mimics dementia. He had named meeting the Spurs star who he idolizes on his bucket list.
Having got wind of it, Kane sent Oscar a video message.
Absolutely overjoyed to share a video we have received from @HKane! Oscar and the family will also be meeting Harry at the grounds post lockdown! Thank you to everyone for sharing and to Colin & Maggie Amos for getting us over the line @SpursOfficial @HKane we are overwhelmed xxx pic.twitter.com/UVgH0RPcJ4

The short message started off with the striker apologizing for not being able to meet the youngster. The positive message asked Oscar to keep his head high and stay positive in what is a tough time, even more so for him.
“I’m sorry it’s not possible to meet at the moment but I wanted to record a message to say hello, to tell you to keep your head up, keep smiling and enjoy every moment with your family during this time. All the best mate.”
Kane also invited Oscar and his family to visit Spurs once it is safe to do so. The youngster was diagnosed with the illness just before lockdown. A condition that affects a small number of kids every year, it is a cruel experience on the young kid.
Oscar’s father also revealed his gratitude to Kane for lighting up his son’s day. He also went on to add that the youngster is obsessed with the striker and constantly asks about him.
It is a dream come true for many to meet their heroes. Kane’s action of sending a positive message across to the youngster is a nice touch and just the kind of positivity we need today. For all we know, it would have meant a lot to Oscar.
