Dele Alli reports for Tottenham Hotspur training after armed burglary at his home
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli reported for training in spite of having faced an armed robbery just a day earlier.
The player took part in individual drills, despite being held at knifepoint by two men broke at his house in Barnet. Alli is spending lockdown with his brother, Harry Hickford, their respective partners, and one other man.
Thankfully, the player and his brother were only slightly injured as the robbers decamped with jewellery and watches worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Spurs responded immediately by dispatching a player liaison officer to his home. They have remained with Alli over the past 36 hours. The police, meanwhile, continue to hunt for the intruders.
The player took to Twitter to thank well-wishers while also confirming that he is fine now.
Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we’re all okay now. Appreciate the support.

The club also revealed that they are providing any support Alli or his housemates need while also imploring anyone with information to come forward. Alli handed CCTV footage to police but, as of yet, there have been no arrests.
The player’s decision to return to the training immediately is understandable. It should bring about a sense of normalcy following the unhinging experience and give the player the opportunity to do what he does best-perform on the pitch.
We are glad that the player is safe and not seriously injured. Hopefully, those responsible will be apprehended to spare any prospective victims the horror of having to go through the same.
