David Beckham pokes fun of Lucas Moura’s sleeping habits and locations
According to the Daily Star, David Beckham has made fun of Lucas Moura and his ability to fall asleep anywhere.
Former teammates at Paris Saint-Germain, Beckham is familiar with the Brazilian winger’s quirks. He revealed that Moura can doze off in restaurants and even the pitch.
The former England star met up with Moura at our stadium and training facility. He was also shown around the sleeping accommodation at Hotspur Way. The Spurs first-team players have bedrooms with identical mattresses at their facility, just as they do at their homes.
“You don’t even need a bed. You sleep anywhere.”
Moura responded to the cheeky comment by admitting that sleep is important. No arguments with that comment by our midfield star. Beckham went on to add that he has never seen anyone who can sleep as much as Moura.
“The moment we got on the bus, the plane, the hotel, the restaurant, everywhere, he sleeps.”
He later went on to post on Instagram that we all need that extra hour of sleep, especially Moura. The Brazilian, however, had the last laugh as he readily agreed with that comment.
Beckham also met up with Jose Mourinho and other Spurs stars Heung-min Son, Harry Winks, and Japhet Tanganga. He is keen to learn about what goes on behind the scenes at the Premier League club after setting up MLS side Inter Miami.

Moura has been an inspired signing for Spurs. The Brazilian has popped up with a number of memorable goals – including that night in Amsterdam.
The 27-year-old is also one of our most active players. He never stops running and fights until the very end. Given that he expends so much energy in a match, it is no wonder Moura needs his sleep. In any case, he has earned that extra hour.
