Arsenal interested in signing Tottenham target Serhou Guirassy
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal have joined the race to sign Amiens forward Serhou Guirassy in the summer transfer window, who has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Guirassy joined Amiens in January 2019, signing from German Bundesliga outfit FC Koln. Prior to that, he has had spells with Stade Laval, LOSC Lille and AJ Auxerre.
Since joining Amiens, Guirassy has made 37 appearances, scoring 12 goals in the process. Nine of those came in the 2019/20 campaign.
Tottenham allowed both Fernando Llorente and Vincent Jansen to leave the club last summer, without signing a replacement. Harry Kane is the only senior striker available at manager Jose Mourinho’s disposal currently. Our club struggled to perform after the 26-year-old picked up a serious hamstring injury in January.
His injury-enforced absence coincided with a dire run of results for us, leading to elimination from all cup competitions. We also dropped down to eighth place in the Premier League table.
So, it becomes imperative for Mourinho & co. to bring in a new centre-forward before the next campaign kicks off. Guirassy though, might not be the best option for the club.

The 24-year-old has never been a prolific goalgetter at any of his clubs so far. Moreover, there are a number of other clubs interested in signing the striker apart from us. Arsenal have joined the race for the former French youth international, while the likes of Chelsea and West Ham United are also keen. (h/t Daily Mail)
It will be interesting to see who the club goes after once the transfer window opens for business.
