Eberechi Eze hopes to emulate Spurs star Dele Alli
Speaking to The Beautiful Game Podcast (h/t Football.london), QPR star Eberechi Eze has revealed that he takes inspiration from the success of Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. The club’s third-highest goalscorer, he has scored 12 goals and eight assists in 39 games this season.
Although QPR are in with a shot of gaining promotion, the player is expected to move on sooner or later. Tottenham are one of the clubs who have been linked with Eze.
Not only have they been scouting him for some time now but given Spurs’ excellent relations with QPR, Eze could very well end up in North London this summer.
Speaking on the podcast, he revealed that he has plans and goals he is keen to achieve. The youngster doesn’t only want to compete in the biggest competitions but he also wants to win them.
A winning mentality is keen to succeed and Eze has taken inspiration from Dele Alli’s rapid rise to the top. Still just 24, the Spurs star is a key player for both club and country.
“He’s shown that it’s possible to go from lower league and fit right in and even become more than what people expected you to be”
Alli has progressed swiftly through the ranks since moving to the club in 2015 from League One side MK Dons. He has now made 219 appearances for Spurs and has scored 62 goals and 54 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Alli is one of the club’s biggest transfer hits in recent years. If Eze can perform at a similar level, there is no reason why he cannot reach the very top. Hopefully, it will be so in Tottenham colours.
