Lucas Moura keen to succeed at Tottenham Hotspur

According to Globo Esporte via Sport Witness (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Moura has underlined his aim to become a champion at the club.

Having joined the club in 2018, the Brazilian quickly established himself as a fan favourite with his never say die attitude and ability on the ball.

The 27-year-old has also scored a number of key goals for the Lilywhites in his two years in the capital. No fan can forget his stunning hat-trick against Ajax that clinched our place in last season’s Champions League final.

Although that night ended in heartbreak, the appointment of Jose Mourinho is a new dawn. The Portuguese has an excellent record of winning trophies in his first full season at every club he’s managed so far.

The appointment has instilled new hope in the Brazilian, who anticipates better days ahead for the North London club.

“I aim to be champion here. I really want to be a champion and mark my name in the history of the club.”

Moura believes that the club have attained another level since Mourinho took over. A good omen in the progress to ending our trophy drought.

He eventually plans to return to Brazil with Sao Paulo – the club where he began his professional career. A return will complete a full circle in his career indeed.

Such a move is still some time away and he is keen to leave a mark at Tottenham before moving on. Hopefully, it comes sooner rather than later.

Moura is back at Hotspur Way as the club resumes training in small groups. Tottenham are still in with an outside shot to qualify for the top four.

With just nine more games to go, we wouldn’t put it past our Brazilian magician to do the impossible once again.
