Tottenham appoint ex-government advisor Jonathan Turner as Non-Executive Director
Tottenham Hotspur have announced the appointment of Jonathan Turner as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect, the club confirmed on Thursday.
Turner has over 24 years of experience in investment banking. He is a co-founder and former co-president of Qatalyst Partners, a technology-focused investment bank. He was the lead adviser on major transactions in the consumer technology and software sectors at the firm.
Prior to founding Qatalyst, he was Global Head of Credit Suisse’s Internet banking group. A Tottenham fan for over 40 years, Turner has also served as a former adviser to the UK Government on Technology and Finance sectors.
Upon the appointment, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said:
“We are delighted to welcome Jonathan to the Board of Tottenham Hotspur. He brings a wealth of international business experience, predominantly in the increasingly critical technology sector, and we look forward to working closely with him.”
Turner originally hails from North London and was awarded a BA with First Class Honours in Philosophy, Politics & Economics at Oxford University in 1994.
In its statement, the club also added that Turner holds a number of board positions, including current Chair of the Investment Committee of Magdalen College, Oxford. He spends his time between London and San Francisco.

Turner’s appointment comes after the club took out a loan of £175m from the Bank of England, in order to cover a loss in revenues of more than £200m due to the coronavirus pandemic. (h/t The Guardian)
