Tottenham table contract offer for Stoke City starlet Mohamed Sankoh
According to a report from Football Insider (h/t Stoke-on-Trent Live), Tottenham Hotspur have tabled a contract offer for Stoke City’s teenage sensation Mohamed Sankoh.
The 16-year-old Sankoh joined Stoke City’s youth setup in 2018 from Dutch outfit Sparta Rotterdam. The teenager has made quite an impression since joining the club, banging in nine goals and nine assists each in 16 games for the U18s.
Sankoh also helped the Netherlands U17 outfit to the European Championship triumph last summer. This has led to interest in him from a number of clubs including Tottenham.
The Dutch starlet’s youth contract with Stoke is on the verge of expiry. And as per the report, Tottenham have offered him a contract to lure him to North London in the summer.
The deal offered by Spurs is an initial scholarship contract which will later be converted into a professional contract when the youngster turns 17 years old in October later this year. (h/t Stoke-on-Trent Live)
Sankoh, in his short time in England, has shown immense potential. While he is yet to make his senior debut for the Potters, he has featured eight times for the club’s U23 outfit in the Premier League 2, contributing with a single assist.

Any club that will be able to lure Sankoh this summer will only have to pay Stoke a compensation fee. If there is any truth to the report, then we could be getting our hands on a special talent with a bright future ahead of him.
