Tottenham are interested in AS Roma star Patrik Schick
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), Tottenham Hotspur are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing AS Roma forward Patrik Schick, who is currently on loan at Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The 24-year-old Czech Republic forward came through the youth ranks at Sparta Prague, before joining Italian club Sampdoria in 2016. Schick joined Roma on loan in the summer of 2017, before making the transfer permanent a year later. He made 58 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals, before being loaned out to RB Leipzig last summer.
Schick has had a solid season in Germany, having produced a return of 10 goals and 2 assists in 20 Bundesliga matches. RB Leipzig had the chance to sign the forward on a permanent deal, but have passed up the opportunity as per the report.
This has opened up the field for a number of clubs, including Tottenham to make a move for the 24-year-old, who has scored 9 goals in 22 matches for the Czech Republic national team. Roma are also open to a sale as they look to generate funds. (h/t Liverpool Echo)
