According to a report from the Daily Mail, Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, who is out of contract at the end of the month and has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, prefers a transfer to Everton instead.

In the ongoing campaign, the Scotsman has produced a return of a solitary goal and four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions. The 26-year-old’s deal with Bournemouth is on the verge of expiry. It is being claimed that the 26-year-old Scotsman has refused a short-term extension with the club to see out the 2019/20 campaign.

The Scotland international’s contract situation has led him to being linked heavily with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks. Reports had even claimed that Fraser had his heart set on a transfer to Spurs, with Daniel Levy readying a lucrative contract to sign him up.

However, as per the aforementioned report, Fraser has had a change of heart and is now keen on securing a transfer to Everton instead.

This development is set to come as a blow for Tottenham. While there is no urgent need of a new winger, adding depth is important if we are to compete on multiple fronts. Fraser, to that end, would have been a good addition, given his age and experience in the Premier League.
