Tottenham fans react to Gedson Fernandes training clip
It hasn’t been easy going for Gedson Fernandes at Tottenham Hotspur. The 21-year-old arrived at the club on an 18-month loan from Portuguese club Benfica.
However, before he could make an impression, the season was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed, the youngster managed to make just four Premier League appearances, none of which were starts, before the campaign was halted in March.
The return of the Premier League this week offers Fernandes to show what he is all about and make an impression on the Tottenham supporters as well as the coaches.
While we have all our star players back from injury, a packed schedule means manager Jose Mourinho will have to rotate his troops adequately to ensure the players stay fit and fresh for the final run-in. That should mean Fernandes gets a decent number of opportunities to stake a claim for regular involvement.
Ahead of the big game against Manchester United on Friday night, the club shared a video of the 21-year-old going through his training routine and showing off some of his skill moves.
