Agent of Arkadiusz Milik not convinced over Tottenham move
In an interview with Radio Marte (via Area Napoli h/t Football.london), Vincenzo Morabito, the agent of Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, has reservations over a summer switch to Tottenham for his client.
Milik has been with Tottenham since four years, having signed from Dutch giants Ajax in 2016. The Poland international has been a potent weapon in front of goal for the Serie A outfit. Till date he has made 113 appearances for the club, bagging 47 goals and 5 assists. Thirteen of those goals have come in the 2019/20 campaign.
Milik, 26, is entering the final year of his contract with the Serie A side, leading to speculations over his future. Tottenham are among the club vying for his signing this summer.
And addressing the speculations, the agent of the Polish striker has claimed that he has reservations over the potential switch to Tottenham. (h/t Football.london)
“Milik’s problem is his contract expires in 2021. I’m not so convinced of Tottenham; he would go there and be the reserve [striker]. Tottenham wanted Olivier Giroud in the past and he didn’t accept because there is no room with Harry Kane.”
The reservations once again come over the fact that Harry Kane will be first-choice striker and his client, Milik, would be playing second fiddle.
Similar claims had been made from the camp of Lille striker Victor Osimhen. Earlier this month, it was claimed Rennes forward M’Baye Niang, another player linked with Tottenham, was also not sold by the prospect of playing backup to Kane.

While there have been speculations of a swap deal involving Milik and Lucas Moura, statements from his agent paint a different picture altogether. It remains to be seen if the club is able to convince the Polish international to make the switch.
