Tottenham interested in Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha
According to former Sky Italia journalist Mr Russo, Tottenham are interested in Crystal Palace and Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha.
The 27-year-old came through the youth ranks at Crystal Palace and caught the eye at a early age, leading to Manchester United signing him in 2013. However, he failed to make the grade at Old Trafford and after a loan spell at Cardiff City, returned to Palace in 2014.
Since then, Zaha has grown into the Eagles’ best player and one of the most dangerous wide players in the Premier League. Till date, he has featured 356 appearances for the club, bagging 56 goals and 70 assists.
His exploits haven’t gone unnoticed, with a number of clubs eyeing his signing. And according to journalist Mr Russo, Tottenham are among the teams interested in the winger, along with our arch rivals Arsenal.
Given his proven pedigree in the Premier League, Zaha would be a good addition to our side, without question. However, with Zaha still having three years left on his deal, Palace will demand a big transfer fee for his services. the current situation means that we need to be very smart in the transfer market.
And a new winger shouldn’t be the priority for Jose Mourinho & co. at the moment. In Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Son Heung-min and Erik Lamela, Tottenham have a number of options for the flanks. In addition, the likes of Moussa Sissoko and Gedson Fernandes can also fill on the flanks.
