Danny Rose wants permanent move to Newcastle United
As reported by Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has accepted that he wants to stay at loan club Newcastle United beyond the current season.
Rose has been with Tottenham since 2007, having signed from Leeds United. The Englishman grew into one of the top left-backs in England during his time at our club. However, things haven’t been okay between the defender and the club for quite some time now.
Rose had been linked with an exit all throughout the last summer window, but a move failed to materialise. However, with playing time hard to come by, he decided to join Newcastle on loan in January.
Since joining the Magpies, the 30-year-old has featured nine times across all competitions so far. With his contract with Tottenham expiring in a year, he understands that he is playing for his future and wants to secure a permanent transfer to Newcastle. (h/t Football.london)
“It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that my days possibly are numbered at Spurs, and I’m playing for my future. I’ve settled in very well, I love the lads and members of staff, and the fans. For me, I’d love to play for Newcastle for longer than what’s on my contract.”
Rose then went on to praise the staff at the hotel he has been staying at since joining the club. The England international insisted that the lengths everyone in and around the club had gone to make him feel comfortable in these difficult times has convinced him to consider a permanent move.
