Tottenham to press ahead with Max Aarons signing despite Mourinho’s concerns
According to a report from The Times, Tottenham Hotspur are set to continue their pursuit of Norwich City full-back Max Aarons, despite Jose Mourinho expressing concerns over the Englishman.
Aarons has emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham heading into the summer. The 20-year-old has been one of the few bright spots in a gloomy campaign for Norwich in the Premier League. The 20-year-old has featured in all but two Premier League matches for the Canaries, chipping in with two assists.
While the Canaries may be set for relegation, Aarons is one player who could end up staying in the top-flight, with Arsenal also linked with the youngster, along with Spurs.
However, a recent report from The Times indicated that Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho has some concerns regarding the player. The bone of contention, according to the report, is Aarons’ height and the lack of experience at the top level. Even then, Spurs are likely to press ahead with the interest in the defender.
This got a lot of Tottenham fans talking on the social media, with a section of the supporters blaming chairman Daniel Levy for going after players that the manager didn’t ask for. Here are some of the reactions from the fans.

And so it goes on. Buying players that the manager isn’t keen on. This club is a joke.

The way things are going … yet again … even with Jose there, the club will not be able to attract significant signings now or next season … it’s such a massive job now , and the willingness to spend is not apparent.
