Tottenham urged to make a move for Jack Grealish

In what has been a disastrous season for Aston Villa, Grealish has been a rare positive for the club. The 24-year-old Englishman has impressed for the Midlands’ outfit this season, having helped them back to the Premier League on the back of some brilliant displays last season.
Although his form has dwindled somewhat of late, Grealish has proven his quality at this level. In 39 matches across all competitions, the Aston Villa captain has produced a return of 9 goals and 8 assists so far.
Grealish’s exploits have seen him get heavily linked with a summer switch to Manchester United. However, Burley has insisted that the Englishman might be a better fit at a club like Tottenham and our rivals Arsenal. (h/t Daily Star)
“Jack Grealish is a difficult one. I don’t see him going to Man City. I don’t think they’d be interested. I think you’re looking at Man Utd. Arsenal… I think he would improve Arsenal, he’d certainly improve Tottenham. Those are the types of clubs [that he would suit].”
Given some of our recent performances, we could certainly use someone of Grealish’s ilk. The Englishman would bring more creativity and ingenuity to the attacking side of things, while contributing with goals. And with Villa heading for relegation, an exit is very much likely.

As things stand, Manchester United remain favourites to sign the 24-year-old Grealish. In spite of Villa’s impending relegation, they are likely to demand a hefty transfer fee for their captain. So, it does seem unlikely that Spurs will be going after him this summer.
