Bayern Munich interested in Tanguy Ndombele
According to a report from French publication Le10 Sport (h/t Mirror), German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are eyeing a summer swoop for struggling Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele joined Tottenham only a year ago in a club record transfer. However, things have hardly worked out for the Frenchman in North London. Injuries played a hand in his slow start but the 23-year-old has just failed to kick on even when fit.
Ndombele’s situation has only worsened since the appointment of Jose Mourinho last November. The Portuguese has been critical of the midfielder in the past and has hardly used him in matches since the restart. This had led to speculations that Ndombele had vowed never to play under his current manager.
While Mourinho has downplayed reports of a rift, that hasn’t stopped rumours of an exit, with Barcelona understood to have made an enquiry for the midfield star.
And now, Bayern Munich too have registered an interest in the French international. The German giants are facing the prospect of losing Thiago Alcantara this summer and are eyeing Ndombele as a potential replacement for the Spaniard. They are also eyeing Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, should a move for Ndombele fail. (h/t Mirror)
Reports have claimed that Daniel Levy has no intentions of selling his record signing in the summer. However, the fact that he continues to remain a peripheral figure in the side under Mourinho, continues to cast a doubt on his future.

The fact that the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona are lining up to sign Ndombele is an indicator of the talent he possesses. So, offloading him in the summer might not be most prudent.
However, with Mourinho adamant on not using him, it remains to be seen if he has a future at Tottenham.
