Tottenham have already been linked with moves for Joe Gelhardt and Jensen Weir. However, it is looking the club will miss out on both the prospects, with Gelhardt linked with a switch to Leicester, while Weir is closing in on a transfer to Brighton.

Now, the club have identified 17-year-old McGurk as a potential target and have reportedly made an inquiry about the teenage midfielder.

A product of the Wigan youth academy, McGurk has impressed with the club’s youth sides so far. He has featured thrice for the Latics’ U18 side in the FA Youth Cup in 2019/20, managing to find the back of the net on two occasions. He featured for 68 minutes against Tottenham in the same competition, but failed to score or assist.

Along with Tottenham, Leeds United are also monitoring the 17-year-old starlet and have also asked Wigan about signing him in the summer.
