Tottenham approach for Nicolo Zaniolo rejected
The 21-year-old has grown into one of the best youngsters in the Serie A since joining Roma from Inter Milan in 2018. After having had an impressive debut campaign, the Italian attacking midfielder has caught the eyes of the onlookers once again with a series of impressive displays.
Despite struggling with injuries, Zaniolo managed to score eight goals and create three for his teammates so far in 2019/20. This has led to interest in him from Tottenham Hotspur. (h/t Football.london)
It was believed that the Italian capital club would be willing to sell Zaniolo this summer, in order to fund a squad rebuild. And, Tottenham had planned to approach the representatives of the 21-year-old in order to explore the possibility of a transfer. (h/t Football.london)

Zaniolo, who can play as a No. 10 or on the flanks, would certainly have been a quality addition to our ranks. Considering how Dele Alli underperformed last season, having the Italian would not only have added depth to the side, but would also have served with added motivation for Alli to step up his game.
However, it seems like the Italian international will be staying put in Rome for the foreseeable future.
