Tottenham confirm Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon signings
Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer business continues to excite fans as the club confirmed the acquisitions of former star Gareth Bale and rising Spanish ace Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid.
Bale grew to superstardom at Tottenham before joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2013. And although he won a host of trophies with the Spanish capital outfit, he never endeared himself to the fans or manager Zinedine Zidane.
Having hardly featured over the second half of the last season, it was clear that Bale’s time at the Bernabeu was nearing an end. And now, the Welshman is back to his old stomping grounds looking to resurrect his career. The 31-year-old has been brought in on a season-long loan deal.
As per The Telegraph Bale will cost Tottenham just £9m, which is a huge bargain for a player of his quality.

Along with Bale, Tottenham have also acquired the signing of Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid on a permanent basis. The 23-year-old, an academy product of the Spanish capital club, enjoyed a scintillating 2019/20 season on loan at Sevilla.
The left-back helped the club finish in the top four in La Liga, while also playing a key role in their UEFA Europa League triumph. And, he will now look to repeat those exploits at Tottenham Hotspur. The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Tottenham and has been given the No. 3 shirt. (h/t Express)

The signings of Bale and Reguilon add a whole lot of quality to the Tottenham squad, without a doubt. However, business is far from done at the moment, with the club still needing a new striker, while a new centre-back will also be a welcome addition.
Nonetheless, the double signing of the pair from Real Madrid is quite the coup. Welcome Reguilon! And welcome back Bale!
