Fans react to Jose Mourinho gesture towards Macedonian journalist

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho showed a class of touch during his press conference ahead of the club’s Europa League game against Shkendija.

The Portuguese tactician was done with his 15-minute Zoom briefing and had left the conference room with reporters waiting for Harry Winks for his pre-match interview.

However, Macedonian journalist Igor Aleksandrovic was left disheartened as he wanted to ask Mourinho a question on behalf his late father. Upon learning about it from the Tottenham’s press team, Mourinho returned to the press room to field questions from the reporter. (h/t Evening Standard)

“On one occasion when [my father] was very sick, he told me if I ever have the opportunity to see you, to ask a picture with you because he always told me to be like you and raised me like you,” Aleksandrovic told Mourinho.

He then went on to ask Mourinho for a picture with him, if Tottenham won the game, so that he could put it on his father’s memorial. The Portuguese, showing his class, went on to promise Aleksandrovic a picture regardless of the outcome of the game. (h/t Evening Standard)

“Thank you so much. The picture has nothing to do with the result. The picture is done, let’s do it. It’s nothing to do with results. My pleasure to do the picture with you. And my honour to your father and respect that he feels so strong about me. I don’t deserve that.”

Fans were left impressed by the heart-warming moment and took to social media to react to Jose’s gesture.
