Tottenham in talks with Inter Milan for Milan Skriniar
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur are in negotiations with Serie A giants Inter Milan for the transfer of Milan Skriniar.
The 25-year-old centre-back is one of the most solid and reliable defenders in Italy. The Slovakian international has been a regular in the starting XI for Inter Milan since joining in 2017.
However, he had dropped down the pecking order towards the end of the last season. And it had been claimed that Inter are ready to sell him, provided they are able to bring in a replacement. (h/t Football.london)
Tottenham have been reported to be strongly interested in signing the 25-year-old Skriniar. Given our shaky performances at the back last season, it makes total sense that the club is eyeing defensive reinforcements.
And Skriniar, given his proven pedigree and European experience, would be a fine signing for us. And as per Di Marzio, the club are in negotiations with Inter Milan over the signing of the Slovakian international.
However, the Italian journalist goes on to claim that the Nerazzurri are holding out for a transfer fee of €60m, which Tottenham are reluctant to pay and are working towards reducing the price tag.
Tottenham are not the only club interested in Skriniar, however. French champions PSG are also in contention to land him. (h/t Gianluca Di Marzio)
Tottenham have opened talks for Milan Skriniar as possible target. He's one of Mourinho's fav options as new centre-back [no more chances for a swap deal involving Ndombele]. Price tag is the main issue: Inter have asked €60m to sell Skriniar. ⚪️ @DiMarzio @SkySport #THFC #Inter

Inter have reportedly identified Nikola Milenkovic as a replacement for Skriniar already. So, a transfer for the Slovakian looks very much a possibility. However, a deal with Tottenham would only be possible if they are able to reduce their asking price.
