Arsenal tipped to make a bid for Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli

Speaking to talkSPORT (h/t Express), Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has claimed that the Gunners should make a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli.

The 24-year-old had been left out of the match squad for two of Spurs’ last three matches. The player had been left unhappy by Jose Mourinho’s decision to do so.

Arsenal are keen to bring in a midfielder and Parlour believes Alli could be just that man. (h/t Express)

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes the Gunners should make a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli.

The Gunners are linked with both Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar. While Partey offers solidity to the defence, Parlour believes his former side needs someone who can help in the attack. (h/t Express)

Alli would provide just that. The 24-year-old has an impressive 117 goal contributions in 224 appearances. However, given the rivalry between both sides,  such a deal would be difficult to fathom.

That is not a fact lost on Parlour. While he believes such a deal could cause an uproar, he is keen to see the Gunners test Spurs resolve with a bid. (h/t Express)

“There’d be uproar in the Spurs fans if that happens but he would be a good fit for Arsenal.”

Parlour believes £50m would be considered a marker given the player’s potential and years left in him. While it is impressive to see a rival legend praise our midfield star, we rather he stick to the white side of North London. (h/t Express)

Moving to The Emirates would be a downward step for Alli.
