Tottenham Hotspur outcast Danny Rose returns to Under-23 action
According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur outcast Danny Rose had returned to action for the club.
However, rather than the senior side, the English star featured for the club’s Under-23 side. The 30-year-old was left out of Spurs’ Premier League and Champions League squads.
Rose looked to be on his way out of the club this summer. A deal could not be agreed to and he stayed put at the club.
The player’s future at the club looks to be over. Rose was not handed a squad number after returning from Newcastle United on loan. It does not appear as if he features in Jose Mourinho’s plans.
The defender is contracted to the club until the end of this season. Rose has been training away from the first-team this campaign. Rose is not the only Spurs star to feature in the Premier League 2 clash against Derby County at Hotspur Way.
The young trio of Jack Clarke, Harvey White and Dennis Cirkin were all involved after returning from Bulgaria last night. All three were on the substitutes’ bench for the 3-1 win over Ludogorets.
Since Cirkin is also a left-back, Rose was named in central midfield. It is not a position that is unfamiliar to the 30-year-old. He had earlier featured there for our trip to the Santiago Berbeneu in 2017.
However, it was a forgettable day for the team as we fell to a 2-1 defeat. Rose played the full game.

Playing again could alert the player’s suitors to his talents. With Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies at the club, Rose is a player the team will not miss.
He has made 214 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals and 29 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)
