Jose Mourinho made 10 changes to the Spurs side that beat Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend. Both Dele Alli and Japhet Tanganga were handed rare starts as Hugo Lloris and Steven Bergwijn missed out.
The Tottenham bench featured a handful of youngsters as Harvey White, Jack Clarke, and 16-year-old academy striker Dane Scarlett were all named in the matchday squad.
Tottenham beat Ludogorets comfortably by a 4-0 scoreline, courtesy of a brace from on-loan striker Carlos Vinicius and a goal each from Harry Winks and Lucas Moura. Mourinho’s men now sit 2nd in Group J of the Europa League after 4 matches.
Tottenham lead 3rd placed LASK by 3 points and trail leaders Royal Antwerp only on goal difference. A win for Spurs against LASK on 3rd December will ensure qualification from the group.
Tottenham have a vital top-of-the-table clash against rivals Chelsea this weekend. Giovani Lo Celso’s injury is being reported as a minor knock and his absence against the Bulgarians yesterday has been quoted as only precautionary.
Hence, Mourinho will hope to have Lo Celso available for selection when Spurs go up against 3rd placed Chelsea on Sunday. Lo Celso has featured 12 times for Tottenham in all competitions this season, scoring 4 times and averaging a goal every 126 minutes.
