PSG set to make a loan offer for Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli in January
According to The Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho is willing to permit under-fire Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli to depart the club on loan in the January transfer window.
The midfielder is out of favour at Spurs and is yet to make a start in the Premier League since the opening day loss to Everton. Alli lasted just 45 minutes that day before being pulled out at half-time.
French champions PSG were keen to take the 24-year-old on loan in the summer. However, Spurs did not sanction the move. With the January window around the corner, they may find better luck this time around.
The Parc des Princes outfit are now set to rekindle their interest when the window opens on new years day. Alli is open to leaving the Premier League leaders in search of first-team football.
The midfielder harbours hopes of making it to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for next summer’s Euros. He is bound to do his cause little justice if he continues to stay on the Spurs bench.
Alli was left on the bench in Tottenham’s Europa League win against Royal Antwerp on Thursday night. With Spurs now willing to sanction his departure, PSG believe they will get their man.
While Alli has played a peripheral role in the Premier League, he has had far better luck getting appearances in Europe. However, getting benched yesterday night is not a welcome sign.
