Antonio Rudiger drops Chelsea exit hint amid Tottenham, Barcelona interest
Speaking to German publication ZDF (h/t Express), Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, who has been linked with Tottenham, as claimed he is unhappy with his current situation at the club.
The 27-year-old has been with Chelsea since 2017, having arrived from Serie A side AS Roma. Having been fairly regular at the club, he has dropped down the pecking order at the club this term following the arrival of Thiago Silva.
This had led to Rudiger being linked with an exit in the summer transfer window, with Tottenham one of the clubs that were strongly interested. However, a move failed to go through at the time, with the club instead bringing in Joe Rodon from Swansea City.
Ahead of the January window, there have been suggestions that Spurs could return for the German international. And Rudiger has fueled speculations of a possible exit from the club, insisting that he is not happy with his current situation at Stamford Bridge. (h/t Express)
“I can’t be satisfied with my situation, but the fight has been accepted. What will happen in January is a long way off. I’m completely relaxed.”

While we have been fairly solid at the back, Rodon still lacks experience at the back while Davinson Sanchez has hardly impressed whenever he has been given an opportunity. So, bringing in someone of Rudiger’s pedigree and experience, even if it’s on a loan deal, would actually be a good move.
However, for any move to go through, Jose Mourinho might have to offload one of the defenders currently at his disposal.
