Rangers youngster Chris McKee admits he looks up to Tottenham star Harry Kane for inspiration
Speaking to IrishFA.com (h/t Glasgow Times), Rangers starlet Chris McKee claimed that he is hoping to take inspiration from Tottenham star Harry Kane as he aims to make his name at the Ibrox.
Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane is one of the world’s best strikers. It is only natural that the youngsters in the game look up to the 27-year-old for inspiration. The North Irish youngster is no different.
McKee has starred for the Rangers B side and is emerging as a promising player for the Scots. He recently penned a new deal with the Light Blues that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2022.
The youngster is keeping a close eye on Kane’s attributes. A Spurs fan, McKee has watched the Tottenham striker’s exploits on Youtube in an attempt to pick up tricks.
“Being a Spurs fan I have always looked up to Harry Kane. He is probably my idol and I like to watch clips of him on YouTube to try and pick up some tips.”
Similar to Kane, McKee is also a striker. He has also proven his ability by playing as a No.10. Considering that Kane too has excelled in a creative role this season, the youngster has surely picked the right star to follow.
Kane wasn’t always the most promising player on the pitch. Released by Arsenal for not being too athletic, Kane’s success at Spurs did not come easy. The English ace spent four seasons out on loan before making a name for himself in North London in 2014/15.
He grabbed the opportunity given to him and has never looked back since. Under Jose Mourinho, it would appear that Kane has even added much more to his game than what was previously thought possible.

McKee has picked up the right role model in our eyes. With 9 goals in 13 games, the youngster does appear to have an eye for a goal. If all goes well, he could even turn out for Tottenham one day.
