Jose Mourinho praises Tanguy Ndombele for his ‘big evolution’ at Tottenham
As reported by The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has lavished praise on midfielder Tanguy Ndombele after his turnaround of fortunes at the club.
Ndombele joined Tottenham in the summer last year in a club-record deal from Olympique Lyon. However, the Frenchman struggled to make the desired impact at the club and found himself out of favour under Jose.
In fact, the Portuguese tactician had criticised Ndombele on multiple occasions in the media, leading to speculations ever his future at the club this past summer. However, having stayed put at the club, the 24-year-old has enjoyed a great turnaround this time out.
Indeed, Ndombele has been very impressive so far this season and was easily our best player in the 1-1 draw against Wolves this past weekend. And Mourinho has praised the French international for his ‘evolution’ at the club.
“I know adapting to the Premier League is difficult but he has had enough time and has to give us more than he is giving us. We are happy, apart from a couple of matches where his performances were not good. Overall there was a big evolution.
“He’s a player who is playing very well and is giving some good things to the team.”
