Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho aims dig at Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil
Speaking in his pre-match press conference (h/t Football.london), Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has taken a dig at Arsenal star Mesut Ozil after the German international’s recent transfer comments.
Ozil, who finds himself out of favour at Arsenal currently, was recently asked by a fan as to what the playmaker would do if Tottenham were the only club to offer him a contract for next season. (h/t Football.london)
The former Real Madrid man replied: “Easy question. Retire!”

Ozil’s tweet has seemingly caught the eye of Tottenham boss, who chose his pre-match press conference ahead of the Fulham game to take a dig at the 32-year-old Arsenal man. When asked what he thought about Ozil’s comments, the Portuguese tactician said:
“Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?”
Jose Mourinho and Mesut Ozil worked together at Real Madrid. The pair had a number of run-ins during their time in the Spanish capital club as well.

Ozil has not played a single game this season. The 32-year-old has found himself out of favour under new manager Mikel Arteta. So much so that the German has been excluded from the Gunners’ Premier League squad for the season altogether.
The former Real Madrid has been heavily linked with a January exit, with interest from DC United and Fenerbahce. But, instead of working towards finding a new club for himself, the Arsenal midfielder seems to be spending more time on social media, making comments like these.
