Jose Mourinho makes it clear that Harry Winks is not for sale this month
According to Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has issued a stern update on the future of midfielder Harry Winks, insisting that he is not for sale.
A lot of speculations have been doing the rounds surrounding the England international’s future at Tottenham. The 24-year-old had lost his place in Jose Mourinho’s side and was constantly overlooked for the Premier League matches.
However, that has changed in recent matches, with Winks featuring quite regularly and doing well, too. In spite of this, La Liga club Valencia are heavily interested in signing him up on loan for the rest of the season. Los Che have already had an offer knocked back, but are said to have come back with a second bid. (h/t Daily Mail)
But, Mourinho has once again insisted that there is no way Harry Winks will be allowed to leave the club this season.
“Nothing has changed. Good Player. A player that I like, a player that I need, a player that the squad needs. A player with a contract for a few years. A player we don’t want to sell, a play we don’t want to loan. So if somebody is working on that they are losing time.
“Even for you journalists. If you keep speaking about something that is never going to happen. Don’t lose your time. Don’t lose your time. That’s my advice.”
