Tottenham fans react as Dane Scarlett bags five goals in FA Youth Cup game against Newport County
Tottenham fans can’t stop gushing over young striker Dane Scarlett after his scintillating display in the FA Youth Cup against Newport County.
The Tottenham U18 side took on Newport at the Hotspur Way on Tuesday. Things weren’t off to a great start for the Spurs’ youngsters as the visitors took a two-goal lead. But, an inspired display from Scarlett, that saw him bag five goals to lead the team to a thumping 6-2 comeback victory.
Scarlett’s last strike in particular, a thumping right-footed volley that nestled into the bottom corner, was a moment that oozed quality.
The 16-year-old has been prolific form for the U18s this term, bagging 13 goals and 4 assists in 10 league appearances. In addition, he also scored in his solitary appearance for the club’s U23 side as well in the Premier League 2. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Scarlett has now followed it up with a five-goal haul in the FA Youth Cup, taking his total tally for the season to 19. And Tottenham fans loved what they saw from the 16-year-old on Tuesday against Newport County. Here’s how they reacted to the youngster’s performance on Tuesday.
