Jose Mourinho bats away questions asking about Dele Alli transfer situation at Tottenham Hotspur
Speaking ahead of the game against Sheffield United (h/t football.london), Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho dismissed questions about Dele Alli departing the club in the transfer window.
The Tottenham midfielder has recently been linked with a move away from Spurs. Paris Saint-Germain, managed by Alli’s former boss Mauricio Pochettino, have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old. (h/t Daily Mail)
Dele Alli is out of favour at Spurs as he has failed to cement his place in the first-team recently. The midfielder has just one league start to his name so far, where he played the first half against Everton on the opening day of the season.
In light of that, it is understandable why he is linked with a move away from the club. And Jose Mourinho says that he has made his mind up on what to do with the former MK Dons midfielder.
Giving nothing away
However, he is not ready to give anything to the media. The Portuguese manager explicitly denied giving his decision on Alli’s future when asked about it. (h/t football.london)
“It’s not a question that I am comfortable to answer.”
The former Manchester United boss says that he knows how to respond to the questions, but he chooses not to answer them.
“Of course I would know how to answer you, but I am not ready to answer, I am not ready to make public my vision of the situation. I am sorry about that but I’m not going to answer.”
