Maurizio Pochettino completes transfer from Watford to Tottenham
As confirmed by the club’s official website, Tottenham Hotspur youngster, Maurizio Pochettino, has completed a permanent transfer to EFL Championship outfit Watford.
The 19-year-old winger, son of former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, made the switch to Tottenham in January 2015, following his father from Southampton.
He broke into the club’s U-18 outfit in 2017 and went on to make 23 appearances for them, scoring four goals in the process. Pochettino also featured 18 times for the Tottenham U-23 side, for whom he managed a return of two goals and an assist. However, he never made a first-team appearance for the club. The winger, who featured in the first-ever match played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Southampton in a test event, had signed a new contract with the club last year.
However, with the pathway to the first-team far from clear, Tottenham have allowed him to join Watford, despite the teenager impressing heavily in the first half of the season in the Premier League 2. The Daily Mail claims that the 19-year-old has moved to the Hornets on a free transfer.
We have reached agreement with @WatfordFC for the transfer of Maurizio Pochettino.
