Tottenham Hotspur interested in Dusan Vlahovic summer transfer

According to Italian publication La Reppublica (h/t Sport Witness), Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs eyeing a summer transfer for Fiorentina’s Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The 21-year-old forward came through the ranks at Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade and made the switch to Fiorentina in the summer of 2018. Since joining the club, Vlahovic has made 73 appearances across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and setting up three more. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Vlahovic is enjoying his best season with the Serie A outfit in 2020/21, having managed to score 12 goals in 26 league outings, while also setting up one goal. (h/t Transfermarkt)

While those are not mind-boggling numbers, Vlahovic’s potential and progress has alerted a lot of clubs across Europe, Tottenham being one among them.

Spurs have Harry Kane as their undisputed striker. Jose Mourinho did sign Carlos Vinicius as cover for the England captain, but the Brazilian is only on loan from SL Benfica.

While Tottenham retain the option of making his transfer permanent, the fact that he hasn’t been used as regularly in the Premier League may hint that the club isn’t entirely convinced. And, it seems like replacements are being drawn up already with Vlahovic emerging as a target.

Apart from Tottenham, the Fiorentina striker is also attracting interest from London rivals West Ham United while German giants Borussia Dortmund are also keen.
