Transfer News: Tottenham to be offered a chance to sign Paulo Dybala
According to the latest news from Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur will be offered a chance at completing a transfer for Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala.
The 27-year-old has been with Juventus since 2015 but has fallen out of favour with current manager Andrea Pirlo this season. Dybala has hardly been a regular in the team this season, with a ligament injury in January only worsening his situation.
Dybala’s current contract with Juventus runs out at the end of the 2021/22 season. And with the Argentine international having rejected a new deal offered by the reigning Serie A champions, he could be shown the doors in the summer.
And now, it is being reported that Tottenham, along with Chelsea, will be offered a chance to sign him. It is no secret that Spurs tried to land Dybala when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge of the team. And the interest still remains despite Pochettino’s departure and Jose Mourinho’s arrival.
However, it is added that Tottenham have serious doubts over making a move for the Argentine due to his recent track record with injuries. As mentioned previously, Dybala has been nursing a knee ligament issue since January and has not taken the field.
In addition, the forward’s form is another concern, considering that he has managed just three goals and two assists from 16 games in all competitions this term.

Dybala, at 27, is entering the prime of his career. Despite his recent issues, there is no denying the quality that the forward possesses. So, if there is a possibility of completing a transfer for Dybala in the summer, Tottenham must jump at it.
Signing someone of his pedigree would take some burden off of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min while elevating the quality of the squad.
