Tottenham laugh off Manchester United’s chances of signing Harry Kane
According to Manchester Evening News, sources close to Tottenham Hotspur have laughed off Manchester United’s chances of landing ace goalscorer Harry Kane in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old Kane has been one of the best strikers in the world for a number of years now and is enjoying a sensational 2020/21 campaign. Till date, the England captain has plundered 26 goals and created 16 more from 28 games in all competitions this term. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Naturally, a number of clubs have cast admiring glances towards our ace goalscorer, Manchester United being one among them. The Red Devils are considering selling Anthony Martial in the summer transfer window and see Kane as a genuine option to bolster their attacking unit. (h/t Mirror)
As per the aforementioned report from the Manchester Evening News though, Tottenham sources have derided at Manchester United’s chances of signing the England captain in the upcoming summer.
That is because Kane is contracted with Tottenham Hotspur till the summer of 2024. Any sale would require the buyer to pay up a nine-figure sum in transfer fees, which Manchester United aren’t in a position to do in the post-pandemic transfer market. (h/t Manchester Evening News)

Apart from Manchester United, there has also been an interest in Kane from their neighbours Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s men are in the market to replace all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero and have narrowed down on the Tottenham superstar as an option. (h/t Metro)
It goes without saying that Kane is the most pivotal part of our Tottenham. Losing him would be a devastating blow. So, it is imperative that Jose Mourinho & co. win a trophy this season in order to ensure that the 27-year-old stays put at the club.
