Transfer News: Tottenham monitoring Mahmoud Dahoud situation
According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Tottenham are one of the several Premier League clubs to be monitoring Borussia Dortmund star Mahmoud Dahoud. Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton are all keeping tabs on the player who is said to have just one year remaining in his contract.
The 25-year-old was signed by the club in 2017 from Borussia Monchengladbach. Despite struggling to establish himself in the team initially, he has gone on to become a mainstay in the side now. Playing in a deep midfield role, he has formed a good partnership with Thomas Delaney.
He signed on a 5-year deal back then which means his contract will run out in about a year. That has led to wild speculation about his future, with a bevvy of sides interested in signing one of the best emerging players in the Bundesliga.
Dahoud is also a full international for Germany appearing twice for the national team. He has often contributed to vital goals from midfield for Dortmund, most recently against Sevilla in the Champions League game.

While Spurs did sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the summer, we do need another central midfielder in the future to replace the ageing Moussa Sissoko. Dahoud can be a good replacement in that regard. The club should keep tabs on the whole situation and snap him up if the opportunity presents itself.
