Transfer News: Inter Milan could sell Christian Eriksen back to Tottenham

According to transfer news from Sportslens, Inter Milan could sell Christian Eriksen back to Tottenham. The Italian outfit want to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and they want to sell Eriksen in order to raise funds for the move.

The 28-year-old left Spurs for Inter Milan in January 2020 but found it difficult to adapt to his new surroundings. That led to speculation that the Danish international could be on the move in the winter window, with Tottenham being linked with a move for him.

However, Eriksen has been on a road to redemption of late, scoring a late winner against local rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. That was followed by another impactful display against Benevento as Inter are zooming towards the Serie A title.

However, Antonio Conte is keen to add a new midfielder to his ranks and views Milinkovic-Savic as the ideal option. Given how it would cost a premium to sign the Lazio man, Inter are likely to offload Eriksen. A return to Spurs has been mooted but it is still unclear as to how this will develop.

Eriksen’s return might not entirely be a bad one for Spurs. The Dane was an influential member of the side under Mauricio Pochettino and performed well during those years. Spurs are crying out for creativity and Eriksen’s return in the summer could just be of help.
