The Englishman’s volley in the 41st-minute was enough to hand him the Golden Boot. Salah tried his best to score at Anfield but failed, and after the match, the Egyptian winger sent a message to Harry Kane on Twitter.

A touch of class

He congratulated Kane on his achievement, which is his 3rd Golden Boot in the Premier League. The Liverpool forward, on the other hand, has two to his name. Salah’s tweet stated:

“Very well deserved! Congratulations!”

This is not the first that Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane were in a Golden Boot race. The two were involved in an epic tussle for the shiny golden shoe in the 2017/18 season where Salah finished with a record 32 goals, with Kane just 2 behind.

The show of respect and class from Salah was appreciated by a lot of Spurs fans in the reply section. The former Chelsea man finished with 22 goals, just one behind Kane.
