Tottenham News: Daniel Levy makes Harry Kane promise to Antonio Conte
According to news from Daily Star, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has made a Harry Kane promise to prospective manager Antonio Conte. The Spurs chairman will not sell the talismanic striker as he tries to get Conte to take up the managerial reigns at the club.
Tottenham have been in the hunt for a new manager for over a month now, having sacked Jose Mourinho towards the end of April. Despite having been linked with a host of candidates, an appointment was yet to be made. However, it seems like the club has finally found the man to succeed Mourinho as the next full-time manager.
The mercurial Italian is coming on the back of a hugely successful season during which he led Inter Milan to the Serie A title. However, a disagreement with the board over the future plans meant he decided to quit and is likely to become the next Tottenham manager.
Nonetheless, in a bid to secure Conte, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is set to make him a promise. The promise is that of not selling Harry Kane who has been linked with an exit from the club. Conte is said to be a fan of the striker during his time in the Premier League.

Tottenham, though, remain locked in negotiations with Conte’s representatives over the appointment. Conte has had complicated relationships with the boards of the clubs he has managed due to his aggressive transfer demands. It remains to be seen whether that changes if he is made the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
