Ex-striker Mido lashes out at Daniel Levy over Tottenham manager search
According to the Evening Standard, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido has launched a scathing attack on chairman Daniel Levy over the club’s dragged out search for a new manager.
Tottenham have been without a permanent manager since the end of April when Jose Mourinho was sacked – right before the team was supposed to play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
While former midfielder Ryan Mason saw the season through on an interim basis, Spurs are still yet to make an appointment, having faced defeat after defeat in their pursuit of a new manager.
The latest such setback came in the club’s bid to make Antonio Conte the new boss. Tottenham decided to end their interest in the Italian due to some of his demands. And, Mido has hit out Daniel Levy, claiming that the chairman will never appoint a manager who will want full control over transfers at the club. (h/t Evening Standard)
“Tottenham fans should know better. Daniel Levy will never bring any manager in who wants full control of the football decisions, will never bring in a demanding manager!!
“That’s why he sacked Poch when he started to ask for more players when he started to compare his team to City”.

The entire episode involving Conte and Spurs’ pursuit of a manager before that has left the club looking a tad bit clueless on occasions. It has been well over two weeks since the season was over. Clubs in the league have already started making signings but Tottenham are yet to name a manager. The situation needs to be resolved and quickly, at that.
