Report: Tottenham set two dates for Fabio Paratici and Paulo Fonseca announcements
According to Sky in Italy (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur have set two separate dates to announce the appointments of Fabio Paratici and Paulo Fonseca as director and manager, respectively.
The upcoming week could be set to be an eventful one for Tottenham and their fans. After a near two-month wait and frustration, the club is finally closing in on making an appointment for the vacant managerial role.
Indeed, Spurs have been on the hunt for a new head coach since late April when Jose Mourinho was shown the doors by Daniel Levy. Over the course of the past six-seven weeks, Tottenham have had to suffer various setbacks in their pursuit of a new manager.
However, they finally seem to have landed their man. Indeed, Paulo Fonseca, who recently left his post as the manager of AS Roma, where coincidentally Mourinho is succeeding him, is said to be in advanced talks to be the next Tottenham manager. And, as per the report, Tottenham have picked out next Wednesday as the day when an announcement over the appointment will be made.
Things have gone forward much smoothly in pursuit of the new Director of Football, though. Paratici, who ended his eleven-year stint with Juventus recently, was swiftly brought in, with an agreement already in place with the Italian. And, an official announcement regarding his appointment is expected to be made on Monday.

Paratici has done some brilliant transfer dealings during his time at Juventus and has the potential to be an asset for Tottenham.
Fonseca, on the other hand, hasn’t tasted much success outside of his jobs at Shakhtar Donetsk and SC Braga. The Portuguese did lead Roma to the Europa League semi-finals last season where they were trounced by Manchester United. He could prove to be a risky appointment for Spurs.
