Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur interested in Aaron Ramsdale
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale as they prepare for life without Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham captain Lloris, 34, is entering the final year of his contract with the club and has been heavily linked with a move back to France with PSG said to be interested. Even if he does stay, it is important that the club plan for the future, given that he is in the twilight of his career.
To that end, Ramsdale has now emerged as a potential transfer target for the Lilywhites. The 23-year-old came through the youth ranks at Sheffield United before leaving for Bournemouth in 2017.
After spending over three years with the south coast club, the Englishman returned to Bramall Lane last summer as a replacement for Dean Henderson. However, it was a comeback to forget for Ramsdale as the Blades went through a disastrous campaign that culminated with them getting relegated to the Championship.
Nevertheless, Ramsdale seems to have done enough to convince some Premier League clubs to offer him a way back to the top-flight. Indeed, Tottenham are one such club that are willing to move for the 23-year-old, while Wolves are also said to be interested in the shot-stopper. (h/t Daily Mail)

Ramsdale still has three years left on his contract with Sheffield United. However, a chance to return to the top-flight could prove to be too hard to turn down for the 23-year-old.
Ramsdale is currently on the standby list for England’s UEFA Euro 2020 squad. Whether he ends up securing a summer switch to either Tottenham or Wolves will be interesting to see.
