Chelsea speak to representatives of Tottenham superstar Harry Kane
According to ESPN (h/t Express), Chelsea have held talks with the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane over the possibility of a summer move.
One of the best in his position in the game currently, Kane has been delivering the goods at the highest level on a consistent basis over the past half a decade or so. However, having failed to win a single trophy in his career till date, the England captain is determined to leave Tottenham this summer.
This has seen the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all line up to sign the 27-year-old in the current transfer window, as per the aforementioned report. It further adds that Chelsea have gotten in touch with the representatives of Kane in order to register their interest in the striker.
Although both Manchester City and Manchester United have also done so, Chelsea’s move is sure to raise eyebrows as Kane making the switch to Stamford Bridge from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would be hugely controversial. (h/t Express)
The two clubs have had frosty relations ever since Chelsea made attempts to snare away Luka Modric in the early parts of the last decade. But that hasn’t seemingly dissuaded them from contacting Kane’s camp to register their interest in his services in the summer.
With Manchester United focusing on the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, it could very well leave City and Chelsea as the strongest suitors for Kane, with the former even said to have prepared a £100m offer for the Tottenham star. (h/t Express)

Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, for his part, is extremely unlikely to sanction such a transfer. But, Kane’s future and the transfer saga surrounding him certainly has the makings of a long-drawn-out one.
