Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane now a priority target for Chelsea
According to a report by Goal (h/t Express), Chelsea have made Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, a primary transfer target in the summer window.
The Spurs frontman is one of many names on Chelsea’s list that also includes Erling Braut Haaland. And just like the Borussia Dortmund striker, Kane is now high up the transfer shortlist at Stamford Bridge.
The report also goes on to mention that a deal for Kane could be complicated because of Spurs’ unwillingness to sell as well as the finances involved in the deal. Daniel Levy would not allow his star striker to leave easily.
The 27-year-old won the Golden Boot as well as the Playmaker Award in the Premier League this past season and was one of the silver linings of Spurs’ poor campaign. And it’s not like he had his first good season for the club.
Chelsea after Harry Kane
He has been consistently firing on all cylinders for years now and is undoubtedly the main-main up front for the club. The team around him has arguably let Kane down at times as he is yet to win a single team trophy in his career.
Spurs themselves haven’t won silverware since their League Cup triumph all the way back in 2008. The Lilywhites are also without a manager but have appointed Fabio Paratici as their new director of football.
A new manager would, thus, be appointed in the near future. But no matter who that will be, it is almost a given that Kane’s presence is something they would desire in their starting XI.

The Tottenham faithful would themselves know that Kane donning Spurs’ colours immediately betters their chance of landing trophies next season, and him staying at the club, at least for one more year, would be an ideal scenario.
